mike malfunction?

I bought a 'very slightly used' KSM 105 vocal mike. This is what happened (always using with the same PA, with phantom power): The first time it worked wonderfully. The second time, it seemed to have less power and we had to crank up the volume on the PA. The third time, NOTHING!!! I have no idea of what could be wrong. I never dropped it and I store it in a safe place.
Any ideas or advice?
