I just wonder if a carpenter would be the same worried about his set of hammers. Itīs good you treat your microphones with so much care, and your concern particles would come into the capsule is understandable. But after all they are tools, you use for making beautiful recordings, and no one listening to your CDīs will be bothered about it. What you describe has happened to all my KM series microphones, also the black ones have it even stronger, because it is more obvious, and specially the lacquelayer is falling quite soon of when using the fixed microphone clamps belonging to the KM series, they scrub the lacque of, as sometimes the logo also. I would take care no particles fall into the capsule, and make nice recordings.
