Hi

I have tl audio tube pre amp with two different outputs,
Balanced XLR line output (+4dB) duplicated on unbalanced jack connector (-10dB)
On my m-audio firewire interface i have only (1/4” TS) analog inputs . How should i conect the pre amp to the sound card ?
1. XLR out (preamp) to analog in (1/4” TS) (sound card) or
2. unbalanced jack connector (-10dB) (preamp) to analog in (1/4” TS) (sound card)
Is the difference beetwen balanced and unbalanced 14 db ? Is there any sound differnce beetwen balanced and unbalanced ? Why are there two outputs on the pre amp ? Maybe monitoring ?
