KM100 series wireless Phantom Power problem

I work in film with the KM100 series pre amps and the 40 and 50 heads. When working with wireless on the Boom the KM100 series preamps, for some reason, want to see a phase reversal before Phantom Power will work. When hard wired there is no problem, and my KMR 81i works fine in either configuration. So I am baffled as to why this happens. It means that when I also have wireless lavs on actors and am using the KM140 or 150 then I have to remember to switch the phase on the board to reverse to put the KM140 or 150 back in phase with the Lavs if Post Production ends up using them together. Sometimes with the pace of shooting this is forgotten, and as a result annoying for Post Production. Is there a reason for this? Is it fixable? I should also note that I have several of these KM100 preamps and have tried all of them with the same outcome. Thanks....
