U47 schematic question
Author: Anthony Paganini
Date: 11/21/2013
We have an original u47 that was converted to use the nuvistor sometime in the 80's. We're having a bit of trouble from it and are going through it piece by piece to find the noisy culprit (and yes we've replaced the nuvistor with a tried and tested replacement)
I found a schematic online that looks like it was a scan of a stone etching (really bad). I noticed what looks to be a 100mH and a 6.8pf capacitor just to the left of the tube that doesn't seem to be in the mic we have. (im guessing on the mH since the quality of the schematic is SOOO bad) Just wanted to know if these components are crucial for the nuvistor modded mic and if it would be possible to see a schematic that doesn't look like it was stored at the bottom of a lake for 66 years.
