Hi !

I have a TLM103 anniversary edition about 3 years new from sweetwater ! BUT i ever hear it tooo dark compared with other mics like AT4040 that is a cheap mic and i have it too ! Why is this ? I observe that i can see the capsule of the AT easy It has only 2 layers on the mic the frist is the big metal holes and the 2nd is a thinner layer almost transparent ! BUT the TLM appears to have 3 layers the fisrt 2 of the AT mic but another one inside thick like the one on the outside so i can see tha capsule soo easy ! Is this maybe a reason that cuase to bbe more dark than the cheaper one ??
I have an Avalon2022 for preamp .
