My aim is to amplify classical guitar and receive as natural sound as possible. I'm using a Genelec active loudspeaker and am looking for a suitable mic. I'm thinking cardioid, but how sensitive (mV/Pa) should the mic be? The mic should probably be placed fairly close, about 20-30 cm slightly offset from the soundhole. Any other considerations?

PS. I read a magazine article about this very subject, and the conclusion was to use a €2000 Schoeps mic. This is a bit out of my reach, so I'm looking for under €1000.
