KMS 104/105? For vocalist accompanied by piano/backing track

Hello to all of you! This is my first post here. I was drawn here after I was enchanted by the KMS 105.

I've been researching about the 105 and its cardioid cousin the 104 and I've read all the threads that discuss one or both of these microphones. Still, however, I'm at a loss as to which to ultimately purchase. I was wondering if you could help me out here.

I'll normally be using the microphone as I sing with a backing track or as I accompany myself on the piano or maybe even as someone will accompany me with a guitar. I don't have a band, but though I don't see myself singing with a full, live band, I'd like a mic that will be ready for that situation.

I understand that the 104 is the newer model and may benefit from slightly improved circuitry. But the 105 is the one that's more used out there, from what I gather. The difference in the pop screen is also a concern. The 104 is reported to be more resistant to plosives and wind noise, but the foam will eventually have to be replaced.

I would appreciate any help on this matter.

Best regards,
