Hello, Martin! Thank you for reply. I think it's wonderful that Neumann employees themselves make really helpful comments when they can on these boards. (Without resorting to sales talk to boot!)

Come to think about it, I can be rather sibilant and more prone to produce some pretty nasty plosives and breath noises. That pretty much leaves the 104 as the obvious choice.

To add: I'm a baritone and I think the 104's frequency response would help bring out my tone more. Also, I imagine the 105 to be more of the "easy listening" type while the 104 seems to oriented to the pop-rockers out there (which suits me just fine).

The foam is easily replaceable, then? Also, does the 104 have that rubber stopper at the bottom that has been identified as the culprit of the signal cut-off problem of the 105?
