kms-104 vs. kms-140 - seeking enlightenment

Hello there,

I'm about to buy a mic for myself for live performance (mostly acoustic rock trio), and I'm torn between the kms-104 or 140.

Is there really any or much difference in the sound?

What constitutes the price difference? Regarding the manufacturing/materials used, what are the differences specifically that makes the 140 twice the price?

How do I know if (why would I) I need a 10 dB attenuation switch or a switchable low cut for distant / close miked situations found on the 140?

I'm willing to spend the extra money on the 140 if it will be the better mic for me, but if the difference boils down to what would be bells and whistles and frills for my situation I won't hesitate to get the 104.

Thank you for your time,
Kevin Andrews
