Martin, I very much enjoy your salient comments. Thank you in advance.

In a previous discussion (that was also KMS 104 vs. 105), you mentioned that you felt the 105 was a bit more "jazzy" and the 104 more "rock". You also indicated the 105 might be better suited to a signer who holds the mic a few more inches away (>10cm).

My application would be a lead vocal position in a hard rock band (high noise environment), where rehearsals are in a very confined space where the singer is often practically standing on top of the drum kit (3 feet away in a cramped room), with blaring guitars from every direction. The singer uses in-ear monitors, and the rest of the band hears him through main monitors. Currently, he uses a EV Hypercardiod dynamic and can barely hear himself (even with in-ear monitors). I think he'd rather sing a bit farther away (>10cm) but can't currently and still hear himself. Feedback is often a bit of a battle at higher volume.

I'm looking at purchasing KMS 104 or 105. Now that you've heard my application, would you have any thoughts on which way to go: KMS 104 or 105?
