Hello Mike,

good that you mailed directly as well. For some reason, my computer doesn't tell me anymore if there's new mails on the forum....

I'd say, KMS104, very close to the mouth.

KMS104plus gives you too much bass, at minimal distances. And there won't be the slightest chance for the vocalist to get his 100Hz components to cut through anyway, battling against bass and drums.

KMS105 is a bit more sensitive to wind & pop, at minimal distances. Although it sounds like wind & pop won't be the main problems, standing on the drum set.
:-)

Close miking will be essential, as every halving of the distance between mouth & capsule gives you up to 6dB more signal. Plus, say, 2...3 dB more extra bass, due to proximity effect. So, in order to get the highest gain before feedback, get the mic to touch the vocalist's lips!

Good success!
Martin
