A stereo pair of U87's for field recordings

I am planning to purchase a stereo pair of U87 Ai's for doing field recordings, - birds, sea waves, urban atmospheres, anything in fact. 87's are the only option for me, since I already have AKG c414b-xls-st, and use them everywhere in the fields. They work absolutely fine in any climatic conditions I encounter, but I want U87 sound as well.. So Sennheiser MKH 40's, or MKH 800's are not what I look for.. Well, having said that.. Does anybody know - what would be the best way to protect U87 Ai from humidity? Possibly - to install some heating into a special bag that I am going to build for them? Do I need to do that at all, if every outdoor recording session will last for 10 to 15 minutes only? Thanks in advance.
