I use Neumann TLM 102 mic and Apogee Duet soundcard on imac. All worked ok for over a year, but recently I swapped this mic for a cheap one for half hour and started hearing crackling and the volume of the vocals was very low and couldn't adjust it. Now there is NO sound at all JUST CRACKLING every few seconds coming out of Neumann mic. it's not the headphones as can play music etc on them, input mic on the mac works fine apart from getting loud feedback on mac's in-build speakers. Have checked all settings and have no idea what is wrong. Any suggestions??? :oops: (This is update to my previous question as can't find the topic anymore.)
