Hello! I have a very disturbing problem with my tlm 103. It distorsts very easy on loader vocals even at lower preamp levels. It's like constant peaks. And it sounds dark (which i think is not typical for this mic)I don't think that the mic overloads the pre input, because there is no clip on the indicators and the input gain is min. Also the mic can handle 138 dB SLP.... I've also tried the same preamp with Behringer b1 and Charter Oak SA538B -there wasn't any distortion with much more gain.
I've read the phantom power with this mic could be a problem. Should I try with external? Or maybe the capsule is dirty?
Unfortunetly I don't have another tlm for compare, but I don't think it's suppose to sound like that. Even my 100euro behringer sounds better...
