Hello everyone,
I recently bought a used KMS-105 and I am looking really forward to use this great microphone. Unfortunately I encountered some issues during the setup.
I hooked it up with my Presonos Firestudie Project (which has 48v Phantom Power). As soon as I turn up the volume of the channel, there is quite some noise. The really issue though is that when touching the grill of the microphone, the noise/volume really gets loud. I have tried different cables but that did not solve the problem.
Since I am new to condensator microphones, I cannot judge wether I made some mistakes or if the microphone is broken.
Do you have any advise on how to check the mic or what to do?
Cheers and greetings Marco
Edit: Sorry, but I think it was a false alarm. I think the issue was that the boost of the mic channel was to high and therefore the mic was hypersensitiv. |
