Hi, I am looking for a mic that works well with a voice that is similar to Lou Reed, JJ Cale, Cake, etc... not a lot of pure tone, in fact sometimes it sounds more like I'm talking than singing. BTW, I am taking vocal lessons :)

My friend suggests a TLM 49 for my budget but i am wondering if there are other models that may perhaps be better suited for my specific type of voice ( not very good ).

would appreciate any advice.
