Re: U67 Housing Body

To add to Martin's response:
His suggestion is perfectly adequate, cosmetically, and fully functional on a 1964 U67. And thank God for a company that still provides parts for a 48-year-old microphone (not to mention excellent customer service response time, thanks to Martin!)

However, if "vintage look" matters a great deal to the owner, a new housing tube (the one used on U87A + black-painted diamond) would not look or feel period correct upon close view or inspection: Tube stiffness, bead blasting size, type of guide key (the internal nipple that prevents the housing tube to rotate, once installed) as well as surface color hue and sheen differ considerably between old and current.
