Hello Derek,

in the LIN position, the U89 has a fixed 40Hz low cut, as typically demanded by all broadcasters in the late 1970s, when the U89 was developed. You can see the electrical curve described by the low end roll-off of the omni pattern frequency response.

Attenuation: good point! The paragraph in the manual for the attenuation switch should read "0 dB" or "-6dB". Reduces the sensitivity, the output signal by 6dB, and increases the maximum sound pressure handling by 6dB.
