I recently purchased a neumann tlm 103. Just last week I took my microphone to the studio and when I was putting it away in the case that it came with a staff member at the studio warned me about the dangers of storing condenser mics in a case with foam in it. Something about the foam collecting dust and furthermore the foam particles getting in the capsule. My question: is the wooden case with the foam lining that the tlm 103 comes in safe to store the microphone without having to put it in a plastic bag first? I would ideally like to store it in the box without having to plastic bag it every time but am concerned about the potential damage from what I've heard. Thanks in advance for the help.
