Next Generation Subwoofer
The KH 810 II AES67 improves on its predecessor in acoustic performance and adds new features. Thanks to a novel long-throw 10” woofer with Extremely Linear Force Factor (ELFF™) technology and intelligent protection limiters, the KH 810 II ensures exceptionally low distortion even at maximum SPLs.
The KH 810 II AES67 extends low frequency reproduction down to 16 Hz and delivers about twice the output of the KH 750 DSP. This makes the KH 810 II AES67 the perfect complement to mid-sized speakers such as the KH 150 and KH 310.
The KH 810 II AES67 is DSP-controlled for superior sonic performance and seamless integration via MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment (sold separately). When combined with analog Neumann studio monitors such as the KH 120 A (discontinued), KH 310, or KH 420, it offers sufficient DSP-power for aligning an entire stereo, surround or even immersive system up to 7.1.4, using MA 1, optimizing not only the frequency response but also the phase. Of course, the KH 810 II AES67 is also a perfect complement to Neumann’s new DSP-equipped studio monitors. In surround and immersive systems, analog and DSP-equipped Neumann speakers can be combined and room-aligned using MA 1 with Multichannel Extension (sold separately). The KH 810 II AES67 is therefore much more than “just” a subwoofer: It is the perfect tool for upgrading existing systems and/or extending them for immersive audio.
With its redundant AES67 connectivity, this subwoofer is a complete solution for integrating your entire loudspeaker setup into your Audio over IP infrastructure. The KH 870 II AES67 accepts up to 12 channels of network audio to be reproduced by the subwoofer itself and up to 11 studio monitors connected to its analog and digital outputs.
Precision in Every Detail
As subwoofers are typically placed on the floor, a robust grille protects the driver from accidental damage. The rigid cabinet features a highly efficient bass reflex system, which is carefully engineered and tuned for the tightest bass reproduction – with inaudible port noise.
Two analog XLR inputs and outputs are available to connect the subwoofer for stereo operation. For multichannel operation, the KH 810 II AES67 offers two Sub D25 connectors for analog connection as well as seven AES3 outputs (BNC) for digital connection to 11 studio monitors. All analog inputs and outputs are electronically balanced. The AES3 outputs (BNC) are compatible to S/P-DIF inputs on Neumann studio monitors using a BNC to RCA cable.
Two network ports offer redundant AES67 audio-over-IP connectivity with up to 12 input channels. The KH 810 II AES67 can thus be used as a hub, accepting multichannel audio which is distributed to the entire system using analog or AES3 (BNC) connections to up to 11 additional speakers, including its internal bass management.
The KH 810 II AES67 excels in music, film scoring, broadcast, and post-production studios for tracking, mixing, and mastering. Thanks to a novel power amp design, the KH 810 II combines superior audio performance with excellent energy efficiency. Its Auto Standby function can be deactivated in the MA 1 app.
