BCM 104 专为精准传递情感而设计。其独特外形在功能上实现了优化，可与行业标准麦克风杆配合使用。由于采用了弹性减震架，BCM 104 可以很好地抑制结构噪声。网罩后面集成防喷网，可防止话筒头受到气爆和爆破音的影响。为提高卫生水平，可轻松拧下网罩，快速进行清洁。
BCM 104 的大振膜电容话筒头可捕捉声音的每一个细微差别，而不会出现音染或音损。BCM 104 的电路可确保本底噪声超低，仅为 7 dB-A，并且能承受高达 138 dB 的巨大声压级而不失真。其平衡输出采用无变压器设计，可确保将嗡嗡声干扰降至最低，并且对电脑屏幕等外来信号具有很高的共模抑制能力。次声滤波器可抑制低于 20 Hz 的频率。对于近距离语音操作，可选择 100 Hz 低切，以补偿近讲效应。第二个开关可激活 -14 dB 的预衰减，以降低 BCM 104 的输出声压级，供设计用于动圈话筒（灵敏度通常比电容话筒低得多）的设备使用。两个开关都隐藏在话筒内，因为低切和预衰减选项通常只在设置时选择一次。
